If you’re a man between the ages of 18 and 50, chances are you have no idea how healthy you are.

That’s a main conclusion of a survey recently conducted by Esquire magazine that found one-third of those questioned have not had a medical checkup in more than a year, and almost half do not have a regular doctor.

What’s more, 40 percent of men in their forties said they have never had a cholesterol test and 70 percent have never had a prostate exam.

But there here is some brighter news for those forty-somethings:

• Forty percent said they have between a 32- and 34-inch waist.

• Nearly half said they can easily touch their toes.

• This age group is far more likely to have a doctor and to eat better than they did 10 years ago.
