Missing that old get-up-go you once knew? Do you feel older than you actually are? Chances are you haven’t exercised in some time. Getting physical not only revs the heart, helps us lose weight, and staves off chronic disease, but it builds endurance, lifts our mood, and gives us the strength to do everyday chores. 1. Check with your doctor
If you have an existing medical condition, talk to you doctor before starting an exercise routine. Physical activity helps improve many health problems, like heart disease and diabetes. In fact, regular exercise can reverse some of their symptoms. For example, it helps lower cholesterol levels and blood pressure. But you should know what you safely can do, and follow medical advice regarding workout intensity and duration.
