Tired of feeling tired, like you’ll never make it through the day without a nap? There’s no doubt we live in an overactive, overstimulated society, and that can take its toll on our energy levels. And at this time of year, when we might be particularly overscheduled during the holiday season, fatigue can certainly set in. But don’t reach for that energy drink or fourth cup of coffee. 1. Get enough sleep

It seems kind of obvious, but be sure you’re getting adequate sleep. Adults typically need between seven and nine hours of sleep a night, says the National Sleep Foundation. However, individual needs can vary. The time it takes to wake up feeling refreshed and ready for the day without an alarm clock is the amount of sleep you need a night, says WebMD.com. If you need an alarm to awaken, set it 15 minutes earlier a night until you wake up on your own feeling rested.
