Itching? Sneezing? Don’t be so quick to blame pollen or dust mites that hide in bedding, say experts. The real guilty party may be the jewelry you’re wearing or the candles you’re burning. The following are six allergy triggers you may have never suspected.

1. Buttons, costume jewelry

Metal buttons on clothing and costume jewelry are frequently made from nickel, a metal that produces an itchy rash on almost 20 percent of people. Replace nickel buttons with plastic ones or coat with clear nail polish.
