Dear Dr. Hibberd: What is the best treatment for arthritis in my hands? It is especially bad in my knuckles. I am a woman who is a senior citizen.

Have you been getting any treatment for your arthritis? Have you had any X-rays or blood tests? It is important to know the type of arthritis and the extent to which your knuckles are being affected.
