Question: Which water filter do you use?

Dr. Brownstein's Answer:

I have installed a United Standard Hydro Quad that processes water for my whole house not only to improve the ascetics of my water but also to help reduce contaminants from my showers and bath water. It’s processed further with an Ultra-Micron drinking water system, an eight-stage filtering and purification system incorporating reverse osmosis membrane technology. This system substantially reduces volatile compounds, heavy metals, pharmaceuticals, and perfluorochemicals, fluoride, chlorine and its disinfectant byproducts, and much more.

Water systems should be tested and certified by the Water Quality Association and the National Sanitation Foundation. Water treatment analysis, installation, service, and testing should be done by a professional with association credentials. Water treatment is not something that should be purchased casually over the Internet, from mass retailers, or from individuals selling “exotic” waters and claiming miracle cures.
