Question: Do ionizer products help with indoor air pollution?
Dr. Blaylock's Answer:
Ionizers were all the rage for some time, but concern has been raised about their effects on lung tissues and respiratory tissues in the nose. I would not use them.
Most important to good respiratory health is filtering the air (with a HEPA filter), and keeping the humidity around 40 to 45 percent In the winter, many people develop nose bleeds because the air is too dry.
In the deep South, we have the problem of high humidity in the summer, which can lead to mold spore growth. At 40 to 45 percent humidity, both problems are solved.
