Question: What are your suggestions for chronic allergies?

Dr. Blaylock's Answer:

There are a number of supplements and nutraceuticals that can reduce allergic reactions. Most important are quercetin, curcumin, vitamin D3, omega-3 oils (especially DHA), vitamin C and magnesium. All are known to reduce inflammation and some reduce the release of histamine and other harmful chemicals from mast cells. Vitamin D3, in a dose of 5,000 IU a day, reduces immune overreactivity, and vitamin C is an anti-inflammatory and reduces mast-cell activity. Maintaining your gut probiotics also protects you against immune over-activity. Ellagic acid and ferulic acid (antioxidants found in fruits and vegetables) reduce inflammation as well.
