Internationally recognized chef Mario Batali says to avoid processed foods, according to an interview printed in the New York Post. No one had ever heard of a gluten allergy in his grandparent's era when everything was homemade, but now everything is processed and our bodies are reacting, he told columnist Cindy Adams.
"Today, everything's processed," he said. "Things we eat are stuffed with hormones and medicines.
"Get away from anything processed," Batali said. "Fast meals are a sickness. Stop buying pre-made edibles. What’s organic is not touched by mechanics, factories or giant companies."
