Question: What will most effectively delay, halt, or reverse the progression of benign essential tremor?

Dr. Blaylock's Answer:

Benign essential tremor is a growing problem in this country. In the past, it was indeed considered benign, but newer studies are suggesting that it can lead to more serious neurodegeneration over time—such as Parkinson’s disease.

I suspect we are seeing more of this neurological disease for a couple of reasons. First, it may indicate a problem of detoxification within the area of the brain controlling motor movements (the straitum) and in the liver as well. This can be improved by a number of supplements, including indole-3-carbinol, curcumin, taurine, and silymarin. It may also indicate exposure to a number of pesticides and herbicides, which are major causes of Parkinson’s disease.

Improving detoxification will reduce the damage caused by the toxins. Mercury and aluminum can also cause this toxic effect. Increasing antioxidants, such as vitamins C and E, the flavonoids, and magnesium also reduces damage. Vaccination dramatically increases the toxicity of the pesticides and mercury in the brain, so you might want to consider this since flu vaccines contain a full dose of mercury.
